                                                                  Arbor Day Tree Planting 2010

Sherwood’s 2010 Arbor Day Celebration will be held on April 16, 2010 from 11am to 3pm at the Stella Olsen Park parking lot. The City of Sherwood has been a Tree City USA City for 4 years. One component of the Tree City USA program is the Arbor Day Celebration. This year the event will be our largest. We hope to plant over 400 trees and shrubs! The City has teamed up with SOLV and registered with the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day program, so you can register to receive a free day at one of Disney's parks!

The Arbor Day Celebration will take place at the Stella Olsen Parking Lot on SW Washington Street. We will plant trees to beautify and re-green an area that Sherwood hopes to be the future location of the Cedar Creek Trail head.

In order for this event to be successful, we need you to bring your own shovel, gloves and work boots. We will be providing some gloves, but may not have enough for everyone. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Please let us know you are going to be there!
